Faces of Bahia – 'Feira de Sao Jaoquim' Salvador Brazil by Dave Miller. Wednesday 6th June 2007.
We like announcing new talents.
Dave Miller is holding his first photographic exhibition at at Favela Chic, 91 - 93 Gt Eastern St, Shoreditch, London on Wed June 6th from 6 - 9 pm.
The exhibition incorporates a series of images shot during his photographic trip to Brazil in January 2007 and represent the starting point for further work planned exploring street life for Brazilians today.
"The marketplace catches the essence of Brazil, it's colour, energy &
style. A love of life, of fun, of spice meet head on with poverty", says Dave.
Dave regularly showcased his works on Sojournpussy.
New talent we really like: Quddin Bahro. Pop artist, Kuala Lumpur.
How many times do we daydream about quitting that treadmill job and open a B&B in Marrakech somewhere?
Quddin was an award-winning art director at Leo Burnett Malaysia, before deciding to give it up for "real" art, his real passion. He is the fresh face in Kuala Lumpur art scene. An advertising maverick who dares to cross-over to the bright side.
His style is a fusion of Malaysian retro and conventional drawing board discipline.
Sojournpussy reported on his first solo exhibition in 2005. Check My Creative Comrades reportage. He has done several since.
