Chinchon Memories
Photos and words by Jaime Abascal

The most typical in Chinchon is the anise liquor and garlics.

I remember in my childhood seeing a man pushing a wheelbarrow with all the garlics inside and shouting,"Ajos de Chinchon! Bueno pa la tos, pal mal de amores, pal arroz con leche!"

It means, "Garlic from Chinchon! Good for cough, for the hearts broken by love, for the rice pudding!"
