I'm not a big fan of religious institutions (nothing to do with Dan Brown) or saint worships.

However, Francesco Assisi has made an impression on me in particular.

He is the Patron Saint of Italy and he was an enigmatic individual.

I never really heard about him until I visited Umbria.
