We returned last month to the historic fortified city of Galle, Sri Lanka for the third annual Galle Literary Festival. With events spanning five days, this toast to the written word featured a happy mix of international and local literati.

Among them was author/journo/ 20th century feminist icon Germaine Greer, who tackled topics like sex, self-consciousness and writing taboos.
