Desert Rose
Photos and words by Zarina Holmes

This is an organic oiive oil grove. It may look like an ordinary farm with plenty of weeds underneath. However this is probably the last effort left to prevent the desert from invading Almeria - and the rest of southern Spain.

Zarina is a travel editor specializing on responsible tourism and sustainable issues.
