No doubt there is a subversive
art movement growing in this area, driven not by can-spraying
surfer kids and university students, but by media professionals
who object to the way their arts are prostituted in the name
of 'bottomline'.
And increasingly, as I visit more art
openings, I encounter quite a few City professionals — bankers,
lawyers and such — showing an interest, if not actually
participating, in this movement.
It has no name yet. But maybe
it shouldn't have one.
