A TV producer once described
Old Street to me as a shithole. That isn't far from the truth,
considering that it's a whiff away from the East London boroughs,
and the nearby streets can turn into pickpocket alleys at night.
Shithole or not, it is currently the
Art & Design mecca of London. But what makes it unique isn't
so much the fact that most of the cool magazine titles, media
houses, architecture firms and advertising agencies are based
here.
