Sleepless
in Montreal
By Mark Fletcher
I took those shots very early in the
morning. I was playing drums
at a gig in Montreal with a band called Hatfield and the
North.
I was in Japan the
week before on tour with Gary Boyle.
I got a call as we
were about to go on stage, telling me that my good friend
Pip Pyle had died, and could I replace him in Canada the
next week.
I could hardly sleep
after the gig, so I was wandering around the streets taking
loads of pictures, hence....
I like graffiti,
especially when it’s done creatively.
Mark Fletcher is a jazz musician.
