I flew in to Kuala Lumpur for Quddin's first solo show in 2005. Not because it was held in the prestigious National Art Gallery.

We graduated from art school together, and all of us ended up as advertising and media mavericks. We got our dreams, and years later we dreamt of leaving the macs. He did it first. He crossed over to fine arts.

Sillhouette (pictured) is his sixth art show in two years.

Quddin Bahro won over 40 advertising awards as Senior Art Director of Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur. Like Warhol, he made a successful transition from commercial to fine art using the pop vehicle.
