Kingdom of Bhutan:
The Land of Thunder Dragon

Never assume that Bhutan, with all its rural innocence, is sheltered and restrained. Like many developing Asian nations which are not yet afflicted by 'Americana' homogeneity, Bhutan is a land of dichotomy — but not in the Western sense of 'contradiction'.

The erect penis is one of the common mystical symbols painted on walls. This is no graffiti. It's here for adult and children to see. The Land of Thunder Dragon holds many surprises.

The erect penis, the lingam, is in Hinduism and some strains of Buddhism a symbol of the creative power of the universe. Sylvain's adventure continues in the next edition.
