It appears that an early Apple’s letterhead in 1976 had an inscription underneath the logo which was a quote from romantic English poet William Wordsworth: “Newton… a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought… alone.”
“Could it be that Mr Jobs himself is a hidden romantic?,” asks The Economist’s science and technology blog.
Well, being romantic doesn’t scare photographers. On 26 November, Magnum Photos published a newsletter on David Hurn’s book Writing the Picture. It is a collaboration between Hurn and the Booker nominated poet John Fuller.
The relationship between craftsmanship and poetry is nothing new. William Blake was a multimedia of his time, because he told his stories in pictures and words. The good geeks at WordPress are self-professed “code poets”. They certainly describe themselves more as romantics than developers on their homepage.
